Unical Got Talent Season 1 (origin,objectives,benefits & description)

 

 ORIGIN

UGT1 (an acronym forUNICAL GOT TALENT SEASON 1) as it’s fondly called is  an aspect of the 247 STAR GIST ENTERTAINMENT which has the sole aim of bridging the gap/unconformity between a talented individual and his/her stardom using their God’s given talent as a key tool.

Therefore the idea ofUNICAL GOT TALENT came into play when we observed that most talented individuals were in need of someone/an organization to help project them into their stardom (which is the aim of every talented individual i.e. making a living off their talent).

The whole idea of UNICAL GOT TALENT can be dated as far as November 2016 but is just coming into full actualization in2017 for the sake of proper execution of the project.

UNICAL GOT TALENT is intended to be an annual event in the University of Calabar.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of UNICAL GOT TALENT are indeed prodigious and are pivoted on the sole aim of 247 STARGIST ENTERTAINMENT.

The sole objective is discovering/harnessing various talents as possessed by various individuals in the University Of Calabar

        BENEFITS OF PARTICIPANTS

·        EXPOSURE: potential participants stand a chance of being exposed to various opportunities within and outside the boundaries of University of Calabar and Cross Rivers State at large as this event has a likelihood of being aired on the Famous Hip TV station.

·        All contestants that participate whether he or she emerges the winner will stand a chance of an all-expense paid shopping fair at Spar; participate in various talk shows/seminars with famous celebrities like Big Brother Naija’s Thin Tall Tony (TTT), Black Bassey and other professionals from various fields.

·        The winner of this competition will be the face of 247 star gist entertainment for a year until another winner emerges in the next season (as an ambassador of the brand, the winner will be publicized on the official page of the brand which has a prodigious fan base, and this will also aid in exposing the winner to various mind blowing opportunities).

  

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

UGT1 is neither only rap nor singing oriented as it welcomes any and every talent whether God’s given or acquired.

          This project will be carried out in two different stages which are;

1.     PRE-EVENT

a.      Audition

2.     MAIN EVENT

a.     Semi Finals: Elimination stage

b.     Grand Finale

PRE – EVENT

a.     AUDITIONS

In this stage, individuals who picked the form to participate in this competition will set out to show case their various talents to the judges who will then judge the various acts on several basis/standards and choose from the crowd just a few who made it through the auditions as a result of their uniqueness in their respective exhibitions.

  Individuals who made it through the audition will then be referred to as contestants since they’ve been legitimately admitted into the contest.

MAIN EVENT

The main event will be executed in two stages which are:

a.     ELIMINATION STAGE

In this segment contestants will put up their very best in front of the judges and audience present as they go head to head against each other and try to wow the judges and audience with their various performances.

          Each performance will be judged critically based on the criteria employed by the judges.

          Contestants who had the lowest scores according to the jurisdiction of the judges will then be eliminated in various rounds until we have the finalists. The judges will have the final say as to which contestant stays or leave.

b.    GRAND FINALE

          The finalists (contestants who made it through the elimination stage) will then make their appearances in the grand finale and still put up their most intriguing acts/performance as this stage will decide who emerges the winner of UGT1.

          This decision again will be at the discretion of the judges.

          There’ll be some performing acts by recognized Calabar based artistes to help ease the tension on the audience and the contestants while the judges work to compile the results and announce the winner of UGT1.
